Re: janitor-script bug when installing nvidia-256-series driver URGENT!!!

 

Hi André,

As I told you before, you don't have to rely on the janitor for the
nvidia-installation.
The following left me with working nvidia-card:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntu-x-swat/x-updates
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
sudo apt-get install nvidia-current nvidia-current-modaliases nvidia-settings

Run the janitor script afterwards, and it will detect the installed
driver, and you can just opt to not change the installation and finish
the script properly.
