resume from suspend and microphone

I'm setting up my new Z 133 today running kubuntu 10.10 with dmraid (I'll try to change to mdm later) and full disk encryption.  I have most things running ok with the binary nvidia driver but I can't resume from suspend - the box just reboots instead.  I'm running Adam's newest kernel (also tried .36) and have tried adding acpi_sleep=nonvs to my boot options (also have nomodeset and i8042.nopnp=1) but that didn't seem to help.
Any advice on how to make suspend work?

On a related note, I don't have the microphone working; does anyone have that working?
