Battery discharging while plugged in
Hi,
I'm having this issue, where under heavy load (and running nvidia) the laptop will discharge the battery even while plugged in. After 4-5 hours of heavy usage, the battery will go from 90% to 45% approx, plugged in all the time.
With powertop, I've had the ACPI Estimate power usage rise up to 53 W, which is very high, especially considering the power brick delivers only 40 W.
All of this is in a VPCZ11X9/e, with bios-provided static graphics switching, running a fully updated Ubuntu Natty.
The laptop otherwise works fine, and minimum consumption (intel graphics, dimmed down screen, no radio and minimum processor speed) is about 11W, according to powertop.
So, what's the maximum power consumption for you? Do you have more powerful power bricks? Ever had the battery discharge while plugged in?
