Re: On an airplane
Hi Rob,
I guess the noise cancellation could be done at driver level in windows?
It's something like measuring a baseline (with the noise) then measuring
while you speak, and substract these signals from eachother to gain a
clearer speech. I would do that in the driver :)
So that would be alsa that needs an update, I guess...

Hi All,
So I took my z21 on an airplane last week and found that the noise
canceling headphones don't work in linux. They work pretty well in
Windows. Any thoughts on what would be needed to get these to work? It
would be great to be able to just bring the noise canceling ear buds
instead of the big noise canceling over the ear headphones I usually
take. It appears that the microphone is in the ear bud itself but the
noise canceling is done in the sound card? Is this a firmware thing?
There really is no way to configure this in Windoze so I imagine it
just runs out of firmware? Thoughts?
