Help with Vaio Z on Ubuntu 12.04
Hi there,
I just recently picked up a second-hand Vaio Z (a Z21 in fact) and would
really appreciate if someone could give me a hand walking me through
getting it working reasonably well under Ubuntu 12.04 - and because Precise
P is Long Term Support, I thought It might be worthwhile if I then try and
put together some sort of easy to use guide in the hope it would be easy
for others.
I'm not sure how current most of the info pages I found on the Intertubes
are. Trying to follow them just got me into ever more complex pickles. So
I'm hoping that someone who's been through it can act as a guide.
So far I've done not a thing (though I think I installed a Sony friendly
sound module under 11.10) so graphics switching and the Special S1 & S2
function keys and possibly a few other things don't work.
In terms of technical skills, I'm a dunce, so please go easy.
All the best, and many thanks in advance for your help,
Jason
