Re: Backlight with NVidia driver on Vaio Z11
I'm not so sure about this point.
I have a Z11 with a hacked bios and static switching, so the OS only sees one card at any given time.
I am able to change the screen brightness in Windows, even though only the Nvidia card is visible in the device administrator, and only the Nvidia driver is loaded.
If the intel card were required for brightness setting, then I shouldn't be able to change it under Windows, unless the Intel card was active.

I believe it's a feature rather than a bug. The backlight is
controlled by the integrated graphics, so the Nvidia tools won't
work. Both cards would have to be active in this situation. Perhaps
bumblebee might work?
