I'm currently trying to get the 3.6-rc5 kernel to work with my PMD by
following all the steps given within this tutorial
<http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2055656>  but still without
success. 

I think that waiting for the stable release and to start over would be the
best advice. But then again, I'm not a Linux specialist. 

 

@Maarten: Judging by your name, I assume your Dutch? If so, may I contact
you privately with a few questions on this matter?

I for one am waiting for kernel 3.6 stable to come out, because since
3.6-rc4 this patch <https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=41265#c49>
is contained in it by default.

after that, I'll see how i can get things to work.
