Fra http://www.ajusd.org/~edward/fix-rhcd :

This program lets you check your Red Hat Linux distribution mirror for
matching file sizes, names, permissions, and symlinks against an "ls
-lNR"
listing from the offical Red Hat ftp site. Any permissions that are
wrong
are changed to match the ls listing.

This is an important tool for burning your own Red Hat Linux CDRs from
the
ftp site. I used to do this by hand and it would take me a day to verify
every files' permissions. If the permissions are set wrong, your CD will
not
work except as a remote copy, such as on a ftp or smb server.

Må jeg lige anbefale Debian potato? En (EMM) meget mere sammenhængende
distribution, som opdateres løbende med de nyeste versioner af
forskellige programmer (hvis det er grunden til starbuck).
apt-get update
apt-get upgrade
