Message #20097
RHL6.1_NET_kickstart
Problem with (net) Red Hat Linux 6.1 kickstart. 14.03.2000
I have created a NETWORK boot diskette with the bootnet.img from the CD
boot: linux ks
Loading initrd.img....
Loading vmlinuz...
I have also used the bootnet-RHEA-1999:044.img.
In both cases, I get the message:
Error opening kickstart file /tmp/ks.cfg: No such file or directory
(NOTE! The ks.cfg file is on the DHCP server not on the diskette)
If I use the Red Hat Linux 6.0 kickstart, everything works fine. The
machine to be installed with linux (ultra2) sends a BOOTREQUEST, the
DHCP server (pc2) sends a BOOTREPLY and the ks.cfg file, /mnt/cdrom is
mounted and the installation starts and is completed without problems.
>From the DHCP server log file:
Mar 14 14:01:36 pc2 dhcpd: BOOTREQUEST from 00:00:b4:ab:1b:20 via eth0
Mar 14 14:01:36 pc2 dhcpd: BOOTREPLY for 130.225.76.230 to ultra2 (00:00:b4:ab:1
b:20) via eth0
