Sørmer jo, netop RFC2822 er at betragte som en internetstandard.

Ting skal ikke nødvendigvis komme fra ISO for at have karakter af
defactostandard. HTML4.01 er også en standard på trods af at w3c
officielt kun kalder deres ting for recommendations.
