Jeg burde nok sige, at når jeg kompilerer fra tarball, er jeg nødt til at sætte IGNORE_CC_MISMATCH og kompilere med:
make SYSINCLUDE=/usr/src/linux-2.4.18-20mdk/include

Det sidste jeg prøvede, var at installere de RPMs som jeg havde fundet til mdk2.4.18, og da jeg startede X fik jeg en grå skærm.
