på min RH 9 har jeg en service der hedder:

cups-lpd

og i min xined.d dir ser filen sådan ud:

# description: Allow applications using the legacy lpd protocol to
communicate with CUPS
service printer

        socket_type = stream
        protocol = tcp

        user = lp
        server = /usr/lib/cups/daemon/cups-lpd
}
