AliDear all,

I am working for an NGO in Addis Abeba, Ethiopia.

Ethiopia has a 100% VAT on all importing product, which made new
computer very expansive. This is one more reason for people to keep
their old hardware and gives even more sense to the StartUbuntu Campaign.

I am starting a Google site (just starting...) for this campaign in
Addis (Ali, if you think I should rather make a Ubuntu wiki page, tell
me please).

My idea is to consult computer shops to offer them a short training on
Ubuntu and them to advertise on the Ubuntu alternative. They could then
develop business around it (for installation and support). I also would
like to talk with some cafés and propose them to offer cheap CDs with
the Ubuntu (or variant) image.

I would like to know if any among you is living in Addis or in another
similar town, so we could coordinate.
