Message #00288
[Question #163491]: Would it be possible to create a policy on more detailed variable names?
New question #163491 on Syncany:
https://answers.launchpad.net/syncany/+question/163491
This specific translation:
https://translations.launchpad.net/syncany/trunk/+pots/en/sv/53/+translate
gives me somewhat of a headache. It's almost impossible to figure out by the context what you're supposed to translate here. The only clue given is basically that you're supposed to translate the word "note".
Now, "note" can obviously mean several different things. It can be in the context of "Please note that...", or it could be a note that the user type into the program themselves.
It would be very beneficial for the translators, I think, if variables and translation comments could have a little bit more detail in the future, for example instead of calling a variable simply "note" you could call it "user_warning" if it's a "please note" kind of message, or "user_input_note" or something similar if it's something that the user types in.
Just my two cents.
