If you look at Philipp's personal code page, you can see that there is activity there:

The last code he checked in was in Late October, less than 4 months ago.
He is also active in answering questions and, if you would read the
other answers, you would see that there are students from his university
splitting this up into a client-server architecture so that you can run
it headless.  Either way, it's not dead, but you won't see much progress
until it is released.
