Title:
[regression] Bootup logo screen corruption on Dell E6410 with docking
  station

Status in “xorg” package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
The bootup logo started to show screen corruption since around 2-3
  kernel updates ago.

The laptop screen started blanking and the main screen flickers. It
takes a second to update the screen. This does not affect Xorg, Xorg
  display is fine.

I have recorded the video of the flicker and attached to this bug.

The problem seems not to be kernel related, as I started an older
kernel and it did not fix the issue. I also tried using an older
plymouth, but this is also not related to that one.

Kernel version 2.6.32-30.59 (generic pae), but I have also tested
  latest 2.6.32-27 to 2.6.32-30, plymouth 0.8.2-2ubuntu2.2, but
  0.8.2-2ubuntu2 tested as well.

I do not know if I should check any other package for regression bugs.
  Any hints?
