Please let us know why this is a "won't fix".

Can we do something to get unity-webapps to Ubuntu 12.04?
If we know what the problem is then we can try to contribute...

If you do not fix this problem please update the ppa page with a note that it does not work so people does not have to install it and spend time to figure out why it does not work:

  Can't install unity-webapps-preview from Preview PPA on 12.04

Bug description:
  I tried installing the package as per instructions on
  https://launchpad.net/~webapps/+archive/preview however this does not
  work due to unmet dependencies:

  $ sudo apt-get install unity-webapps-preview
  Reading package lists... Done
  Building dependency tree       
  Reading state information... Done
  Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
  requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
  distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
  or been moved out of Incoming.
  The following information may help to resolve the situation:

  The following packages have unmet dependencies:
   unity-webapps-preview : Depends: xul-ext-unity but it is not going to be installed
                           Depends: xul-ext-websites-integration but it is not going to be installed
                           Depends: xul-ext-webaccounts but it is not going to be installed
  E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.

  If I try to explicitly install xul-ext-unity it refuses to do so
  because of an issue with the firefox package:

  $ sudo apt-get install xul-ext-unity
  Reading package lists... Done
  Building dependency tree       
  Reading state information... Done
  Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
  requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
  distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
  or been moved out of Incoming.
