different bugs. I just didn't want to open a new bug since my problem
might be related to this one.

It's an A3 es2.3 so your guess should be right

Bug description:
  When boot up panda, the HDMI resolution is auto detected as 1360x768. No HDMI audio can be outputted at such resolution.
  TV brand is Sony Bravia KLV-32J400A
