I believe this is probably related with Unity 3d and the current SGX
driver we have.

Would you mind selecting unity 2d and rebooting to see if you're able to
reproduce the issue? I believe with unity-2d it should always work.

  Unable to get display up - display remains dark, only mouse icon can
  be seen.

  Using following image:

  Steps:

  1. Create sd card image , and put sd card on panda board 4430:
  sudo linaro-media-create --mmc /dev/sdb --dev panda --hwpack hwpack_linaro-lt-panda-x11-base_20120426-10_armhf_supported.tar.gz --binary linaro-precise-ubuntu-desktop-20120426-119.tar.gz

  2. Bootup board.

  Issue: Display does not show any update.
