ok.. I see:
In oneiric xbmc video has been sent to the gstreamer pipeline via appsrc.
In precise xbmc a playbin element is used instead, so a myth:// url is passed to gstreamer. Too bad there is currently no working mythtv src for gstreamer.

Bug description:
  In XBMC, Linaro 12.08 playback of myth:// (mythtv) and possibly other[1] network URLs is failing.
  It worked in Linaro 12.03.
