Hi all,
It took some serious sitting down with xmllint and xpath expressions to
figure out how to do this, but this next update *should* make your menu
buttons for the applications and places localized when you logout and
log back in again and should do it if you change languages and log out
and in again... at least AFAIK it should.. I may have to move this to
some other file or something if it has troubles.... let me know, as I am
not sure when the language variable is setup and read.
I am not 100% sure how well this works, but it does effect mine well
enough.
So.. give it a shot and see what happens all you fine testers
it will be in torios-desktop revision 429 when you update.
The wifi button will only work if you manually assign it, or if you copy
/etc/skel/.jwmrc to ~/.jwmrc and then reload the desktop.... of course
you need to have the XF86WLAN key on your keyboard (usually in your
function keys) to test it and WiFi obviously.
Hi Israel,
I have updated and upgraded an installed system to torios-desktop
revision 429. it seems to work. What should I look for specifically?
Best regards
Nio
Hi Nio,
When you log out and log back in you should have your 'Apps' button
change to:
'Program'
If I am doing it right and your LANGUAGE variable is set to sv
Name[sv]=Program
At least this is the hope.
I do not have an entry in Swedish for 'Home' or 'Places' for the other
menu, though you could give me one :)
This should show us if everything works right or not.
It could be that the LANGUAGE or LANG variable is not set correctly
yet... though it seems as though it should work..... If not you should have
"Applications" rather than "Apps"
