Re: TESTING: Re: 64bit Jessie ISO (Accessibility)

Hi Israel,

The recommended 'jwm-menu --reload && jwm -restart' did the trick and now there is a new 'Web Browser' menu entry in Apps -> Network.

Cheers,
Jack

Hi Israel,

One observation: I tried Common Tasks, Install a Browser for Chromium, but it didn't do much, so I installed it via 'apt install chromium-browser' successfully.

That is really odd... I will check the common tasks and see... it has been a while since we have used it in Ubuntu... so it probably is missing something...
After many reboots, that browser entry has still not appeared in the menu system anywhere; normally I would see it in Apps > Network , from previous observations.

Hmm... try in a terminal:
jwm-menu --reload && jwm -restart
See if that helps... I will work on getting things back in order

Hi Israel,

Progress...I got it installed okay in VB now.

GREAT!
I re-installed and tried 2 changes: #1 I requested no autlogin and 2# I asked for 'check for updates'.

It may be the autologin thing then... not sure I will check it out and see.
I also noticed in the LiveCD vsn running it couldn't connect to my wired ethernet but it's fine in the installed system.

Yeah this is known issue in Ubuntu... not sure why it doesn't work as expected I tried so many hacks earlier to get this working to no avail :(
It is something to look further into though. I will see what I can do.
Cheers,
Jack
