Is everyone getting stuck at this screen? There is no network use or

Hi Jack,

http://amjjawad.blogspot.com/2013/07/ubuntu-mini-iso-installation-process.html

I know that was months ago but the ISO didn't change.

What VM are you using?! Oracle VB? latest version? could it be the
latest version has some issues?

When I wrote that post on my blog, I did 2-3 installation from that
ISO on Oracle VB and everything went just fine?! weird ...

It is odd, I have tried it on 14.04 and it seems to get stuck... though
I am going to let it 'marinate' for about an hour or 2 and see what
happens (in case it isn't stuck).
I have also tried it on 12.04 and it seems the same... :(
But I will have more info about whether or not it worked soon (well...
not soon really... in an hour or 2) The Debian Mini I installed on that
old iBook had pretty decent indication that things were working.... so I
am not sure what is going on here...
It also doesn't have quite the same order as your blog post does (or so
it seems).

Here's a previous discussion where other users had long delays
using/installing the 12.04 mini.iso where it would hang for well over 30
minutes...

I am trying again, and this time it didn't hang as long. It took 10 minutes to show something new after the screen, like the one in your screen shot.
I've been stuck at

Installing the base system
6% retrieving ntpdate...

for about 20 minutes... so I guess I will just hang out and see if it ends up working or not. Either way... somehow I got further (not sure what I did differently... except have different apps running while it is)
