ToriOS progress

Hi all,
just to let everyone know the developers and testers are still alive...
we are here!

Quick Overview:
We have had some very extensive testing and refining of OBI recently.
It is now much more robust, and the next ISO should have all the
calculations working nicely, and displaying wonderful human readable
formats (such as MB instead of sectors)

jwm-settings-manager has had some recent bug fixes and improvements
and included with this is improvements to the app menu by making is a
newly (mostly) xdg compliant menu.
This means we now have a jwm-applications.menu file
So, users can (in effect) have some control over their menu... though
not every menu feature is implemented yet.
You could potentially re-arrange the order in the menu file and organize
your menu differently.
This will also work with the lxde menu files.
So, this means now we can (possibly) not rely on the lxde-menu package!
hurray for less dependencies!
It also means users can create their own categories (as long as they
create the directory file appropriately)
and all that fun stuff.

The jwmIconFinder program now also supports a recursive look in the
user's local icon directory. What does that mean? It means things like
chrome apps, and locally installed programs will have icons in the menu.

the torios-desktop package now makes sure that the user has and owns
their configuration files. This has taken a bit of testing and has
caused a few bugs, but is now working rather well (in my testing) The
next ISO coming out will really portray whether or not this works
completely.
