There has been an expression of the year called "Earthly Branches"
since ancient times in China.
Japan refers to this as "十二支"(Jyuni-shi)
and a commonsense expression for Japanese citizens:

When 2017 is expressed by Earthly Branches,
it is "酉年"(Tori-doshi) in Japan.
This is surely a good appeal to ToriOS. :)
