[Bug 1333150] Re: scrolling in Qt 5.3 ignores scrolling settings

Please re-test with Qt 5.3.1 and report back. See
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Touch/QtTesting for details (=qt5-beta2 PPA).
You should now be able to keep eg. Qt Creator and Ubuntu plugin even if
the ubuntu-sdk meta-package might need to be removed when upgrading.

The packages are only partially "well done", but should be ok for
testing purposes.

The 5.3.1 packages, in addition to upstream fixes, now build against
libmtdev-dev which was synced from Debian, and being multitouch library
might have something to do with this.

As usual, you can revert back with ppa purge ppa:canonical-
qt5-edgers/qt5-beta2 + apt install ubuntu-sdk.

Title:
scrolling in Qt 5.3 ignores scrolling settings

Status in “qtbase-opensource-src” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
Since Qt 5.3 scrolling doesn't regard any settings any more. That
means that scrolling speed in Qt 5.3 applications differs from other
applications and depending on the setup, scroll direction is inverted
for Qt 5.3 applications (All the touch apps and QtCreator in ubuntu-
  sdk)

This is caused by the fact that Qt 5.3 uses the smooth scrolling
  features of xinput2
