Title:
Unity hides or loses subsequent windows/instances in launcher.
Status in Unity:
Confirmed
Status in “unity” package in Ubuntu:
Confirmed
Bug description:
When I have more than one instance of a program open, after minimizing
all windows, clicking on the icon in the Unity launcher opens only one
window.
For example, if I have two Chromium windows open and minimize both,
one will become 'lost'. If I click on the icon in the Unity launcher,
one window will maximize. All of the little white triangles under the
icon which indicate multiple instances open remain, but I can only
access one window.
Alt + ` only reveals one window.
Alt + tab just shows the single icon.
If I then minimize the single window which has maximized and then
click on the icon again, the other window will maximize.
What I expect to happen: clicking on the icon in the Unity launcher should show ALL windows in a rectangular grid on the screen. Alt + ` should let me scroll through the open windows in the same grid.
I am using the latest compiz-config package with Ubuntu 11.10 Oneiric.
