  when dash up and computer suspends - frozen

Bug description:
  when dash is up with prompt in Search, then system suspends through
  time out, cannot log back in because dash is covering the
  login/password prompt.  dash cannot be exited through escape or
  clicking on X in upper left.

  there might be a better way, but I was forced to Alt-Ctl-F1 and reboot
