Title:
New Unity Shutdown dialogs should show action state labels always
Status in Ayatana Design:
New
Status in Unity:
Incomplete
Status in “unity” package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
This is regarding the new Unity shutdown dialogs as seen in the
screenshot attached below. As you can notice, it shows the "logout"
action state label only when the mouse is hovering over the button.
However if a user presses the power button, he is given many options
like shutdown, restart, log out, suspend, hibernate. It would be
easier if these labels are shown always rather than only when hovering
over them.
I understand that this might break consistency with other unity
elements such as alt-tab etc where the application title is only shown
when hovering over than icon but in the case of the new unity shutdown
dialog, it might be better of new users if they are shown always.
