Bug description:
  compiz 1:0.9.7.0~bzr2995-0ubuntu2
  fglrx

  setup: laptop with external monitor

  When opening menus (eg global menu) on the laptop screen the menus
  render and when closed the drop shadows disappear too. On the external
  monitor however the drop shadows remain causing the effects seen in
  the attached screenshot.
