Bug description:
  This is a request to push an SRU change.

  == PROBLEM ==

  User can disable the X Composite extensions in their Xorg.conf, upon
  logging in, compiz will fail to start and they will be left with a
  blank desktop

  == PATCH ==

  Check for XComposite extension. See https://code.launchpad.net/~unity-
  team/nux/nux.xcomposite_check

  == TEST PLAN ==

  Install the binary, add

  Section "Extensions"
      Option "Composite" "Disable"
  EndSection

  to your xorg.conf. Restart your session and you should find yourself
  in unity-2d or gnome classic. Running the test should also return 1.
