Bug description:
  Binary package hint: unity

  With the latest update to unity the launcher will only "hide' when a
  window is occupying it's space. While maybe this is the result of bug
  fix here -# 685861, it certainly seems a step back when not using a fs
  window or placing a window on far left side.
