No reply. Closing as invalid; the 2G / 3G indicator has been nicely
working for quite a while.

  Network data signal does not show information about 3g or 2g

Status in “indicator-network” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  Some places of my city does not have 3g signal (underground parking
  lot, shopping malls, country side, etc...) in these areas androids
  shows a different symbol/icon in the network indicator to notify the
  user that he is using a low quality network, but using the ubuntu
  phone I did not notice any change it always shows 3g icon.
