Title:
USB printing not working with HPLIP 3.10.6

Status in “cups” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: cups

  I am having trouble printing.
I print something, and it spews out a print job I sent to it days ago, a one-page page from Mapquest.
New print jobs (usually from OpenOffice) do not "take." The green light starts flashing but then nothing comes out.

  This printed once.

  PCL XL error
  Subsystem: KERNEL
  Error: IllegalTag
  Operator: 0x25
  Position: 2796289

I think that part of the problem is that duplex printing does not work
unless you activate it in system / admin / printing. But I may be
wrong about that. I just activated that and it started printing duplex
-- short-side rather than the long-side I specified, and kept printing
the same thing over and over even though I'd specified one copy.

I tried unplugging the printer for an hour or so. Didn't work. Printer
does work with my husband's computer.
