Please try again using a newer Ubuntu, as 12.10 is end of life.

Bug description:
  [1c9e:9605 OMEGA TECHNOLOGY] modem not works with ubuntu .
  in web it has solution ( http://imacify.com/2012/10/how-to-configure-micromax-3g-modem-on-ubuntu-12-10/ )(it works)
  But it take more time take detcet the modem . I requist to integrate with ubuntu
