  Printing broken, usb printer

Status in “cups” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  Fresh install of Ubuntu 13.04

  Attached EPSON NX410

  All print operations fail.

  Print jobs appear in the queue, and stay there.

  The troubleshooting wizard reports  "Unable to send data to printer"
