Title:
Can't find /usr/lib/systemd/system/serial-getty@hvc0.service file
Status in “systemd” package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
== Comment: #6 - Onkar N. Mahajan <onmahaja@xxxxxxxxxx> - 2014-08-12 02:49:19 ==
We are trying to run automated tests on Ubuntu guest.
OS: GNU/Linux
OS Version: Ubuntu Utopic Unicorn (development branch) \n \l
Kernel Version: 3.13.0-24-generic
HTX Version: htxubuntu-296
Host Name: wyp02
Machine Serial No: Not Found
Machine Type/Model: IBM pSeries (emulated by qemu)
System FW Level: Not Found
While an internal test script tries to auto login for running the tests on the
guest, we are getting the following error :
> Setting up HTX autostart
> /usr/lpp/htx/etc/scripts/bootme: line 59:
> /usr/lib/systemd/system/serial-getty@hvc0.service: No such file or directory
> ---- Unable to find this file for auto-login
so we added the below lines to /etc/init/hvc0.conf :
'exec /sbin/getty --autologin root -8 38400 tty1'
Now, the reboot is stuck, with below boot logs :
# virsh console ubuntu --force
Connected to domain ubuntu
