[Bug 1496443] Re: krillin/devel-proposed - scopes are all blank
Ah, OK, I just tried with my Mako. So, this can't possibly work. The
image contains a scopes runtime built with Wily. Due to the ABI break
introduced with gcc5, libunity-scopes as a different soname (libunity-
scopes.so.1.0.1 instead of libunity-scopes.so.3). The failing scopes,
however, are built with Vivid, which uses gcc 4.9 and, therefore, these
scopes were linked with libunity-scopes.so.3.
The only way to get these scopes to work is to build them with Wily and
add them to the image. I have no idea whether there are any plans to
actually do that, seeing that it seems unlikely that we'll be doing Wily
phones any time soon.
If you want something that works, grab the image from the rc-proposed
channel:
ubuntu-device-flash touch --channel=ubuntu-touch/rc-proposed/ubuntu
