[Bug 1177130] Re: Window manager cannot handle iconifying a full-screen window

Thank you for your bug report. That ticket is quite old and we didn't
get recent report of the problem, also it seems to work correctly now,
closing. Feel free to reopen if you can still reproduce in more recent
versions

Title:
Window manager cannot handle iconifying a full-screen window

Bug description:
This bug only exists on Ubuntu 12.04 for Unity with hardware
acceleration enabled. It does not reproduce on 12.10 or with Unity 2D.

I am attaching a python script which should manifest the bug. The
script runs for a few seconds, displaying a window on opening. After 2
seconds, the window is placed into full-screen mode. After 4 seconds,
the window is iconified. After 8 seconds, the script exits.

What you expect to see is that the window disappears and then the
script exits. Instead, what usually happens is that the window
vanishes briefly, along with the unity menu bar, then the window re-
appears fullscreen. On occasion, the window remains hidden, but so
  does the menu bar.
