[Bug 1496773] Re: Dbus-daemon-system-fork on ota6 is using large amounts of CPU

There is a process continuosly invoking online accounts, presumably with
wrong parameters. Unfortunately I cannot tell which process it is from
the logs.

Dave, can you still reproduce it? Next time it happens, please run:

   OAU_LOGGING_LEVEL=2 OAU_DAEMON_TIMEOUT=9999 online-accounts-service

and attach the output here.

Looking at top, I suspect that sync-monitor could be the client
continuously invoking Online Accounts. I'm adding sync-monitor to the
bug, just to have some people confirm whether it's possible that a
failed invocation to online accounts results in a loop.

** Also affects: sync-monitor (Ubuntu)
   Importance: Undecided
       Status: New

** Changed in: ubuntu-system-settings-online-accounts (Ubuntu)
       Status: New => Triaged

  Dbus-daemon-system-fork on ota6 is using large amounts of CPU

Status in ubuntu-system-settings-online-accounts package in Ubuntu:
  Triaged

Bug description:
  STEPS:
  1. Install ota6
  2. Use the phone as a phone don't let it run out of battery power
  3. Uptime for me nearly 8 days and the system become unusable

  EXPECTED:
  I expect the system to always run smoothly with 0 apps open

  ACTUAL:
  Tapping the power button to wake the device seemingly does nothing, Tap it again and the welcome screen appears and disappears. Tap it again and it appears as normal, Start using apps, the apps will suddenly stall (Note not crash just stall).

  RESULTS:
  I opened up top
  User message+ dbus-daemon-system-fork is bouncing from 2.4% cpu, to 40-60% cpu, to 98-102% cpu. This is the only high cpu utilising app after an hour watching.

  Memory on device is at a minimum too. As can be seen here
  http://paste.ubuntu.com/12436034/ this system has no app open.

  Logs: I have included the entire .cache/upstart folder and syslog.
