[Bug 893652] Re: Launcher - Allow apps to easily add a list of 'recently used files' to their quicklists
Core Unity developers will not be adding any new features to Unity 7 at
this stage. As part of the big bug clear up for 16.04 this bug is being
marked as Opinion. While this bug is affecting you, and potentially
others, we are not considering working on it so it won't get fixed by
us. Other developers are free to pick this up and work on it. Sorry that
we can't offer you help at this time.

Bug description:
Launcher - Allow apps to easily add a list of 'recently used file' to
their quicklists.
Description:
Add a list of the 5 most recently used files to the Quicklists of all applications that support Zeitgeist tracking. This list would be generated using Zeitgeist, and applications could opt out of this functionality by adding a simple statement like "ShowRecentFiles=false" to their .desktop file.
This list would be displayed in the quicklist as follows:
====================
[application specific quicklist options area]
--------------
[application name]
--------------
Windows:
[window title 1]
[window title 2]
[window title 3]
--------------
Most recent files:
file one.odt
file two.odt
file three.odt
file four.odt
file five.odt
--------------
Keep in launcher
Quit
