Message #106859
[Bug 1132523] Re: android-tools-adb udev script uses unknow group
android-tools-adb package in 𝐔𝐛𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐮 𝟏𝟒.𝟎𝟒𝐋𝐓𝐒 and newer Ubuntu releases
uses a structurally different /lib/udev/rules.d/70-android-tools-
adb.rules file with no reference to "adbusers","plugdev" or any other
group. See https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/android-tools . adb now
works 'out of box' for most devices without needing to start it as root
and solves bug #1051938
The file /lib/udev/rules.d/51-android-rules.rules affected by this bug
was from android-tools package in an older EOL'd Ubuntu release. So,
this bug is solved in all currently supported releases of Ubuntu. I'm
closing this bug as "Fix Released"
** Changed in: android-tools (Ubuntu)
Status: Confirmed => Fix Released

Title:
android-tools-adb udev script uses unknow group
Status in android-tools package in Ubuntu:
Fix Released
Bug description:
The script /lib/udev/rules.d/51-android-rules.rules installed by this
package referes to the unknown group adbusers
The package is missing either a "postinst" script that would create
the group or a dependency of a package that creates it.
