Message #108485
[Bug 798083] Re: apport overwrite previous crash report if the same binary crashes again
I think this bug might be invalid. There is another bug which claims
exacly the opposite thing. Also on my computer apport does not overwrite
existing crash reports.
See: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/apport/+bug/160999

Title:
apport overwrite previous crash report if the same binary crashes
again
Status in apport package in Ubuntu:
Confirmed
Bug description:
Binary package hint: apport
Due to the naming scheme of crash file (path_to_binary.uid.crash) apport can just save one report for a particular program crash.
When during a run, the same program crashes more than one time at different places, and the reports are not filed immediately, then the previous crashes reports are lost.
