[Bug 776441] Re: Allows binding useless mod4/winkey hotkeys; stolen by Unity
As part of the big bug review for 16.04 LTS I have tested this on 15.10
and the bug is still there.
Tested on 15.10 Beta 2. By default, Super + L locks the screen. Unity
allows this key combination to be set to a custom command, but, on key
press, the screen locks, rather than the command being run.

Title:
Allows binding useless mod4/winkey hotkeys; stolen by Unity
Status in Unity:
Confirmed
Status in unity package in Ubuntu:
Confirmed
Bug description:
Binary package hint: gnome-control-center
Before switching to Unity, I had mod4 (Windows key) bound for various
actions, as they are on Windows (win+L lock, win+r run, etc.). gnome-
keybinding-properties still allows me to set these bindings, but
they're not actually fired as they keypresses are stolen by Unity.
That is, I can set "Lock screen" to Mod4+L, but pressing Mod4+L just
shows the Unity sidebar.
