Hi just discovered this which is a high blocking issue for our oem
computers.

does anybody works on this ? what is exactly teh root of the problem ?

  Sound recorder does not work

Bug description:
  In Raring sound recorder does not work.

  * after I open the application it does not show any activity under "Level".
  * nothing happens after clicking record button, choosing record from the menu or after pressing Ctrl+R
  * recording is fine in audacity
  * input tab under sound settings shows activity on my input
