[Bug 1340510] Re: session screen seen upon quick power key strike

 

The greeter is shown when it receives the DisplayPowerStateChange with
an off status signal which is only emitted after the compositor thread,
display and back-light have been shut off.

My plan was to expand the DisplayPowerStateChange signal with a "will
power off soon" status and have some sort of ack system, (with a
suitable timeout) which shells could register for to allow for short
screen lock animations  - which I think the greeter lock screen was
supposed to be.

Bug description:
  Image #125 on N4

  1) boot phone and unlock phone to display dash
  2) strike power key to blank & unblank screen quickly
  3) the dash is seen instead of lockscreen for a brief moment

  logging against u-s-c as this was fixed, but power policy changes may
  have effected this
