Message #118298
[Bug 1502205] Re: [notification] [messaging app] message notification does not link to correct message thread
** Summary changed:
- message notification does not link to correct message thread
+ [notification] [messaging app] message notification does not link to correct message thread
** Description changed:
When a device is in pin locked (or password locked) state, a
notification is displayed when a message is received.
However, when the user requests to be redirected to the message thread
(and enters pin or password) he is not redirected to the correct thread.
Instead, he gets redirected to the most recently active screen/thread in
the messaging app, which usually is some other message thread. He then
has to exit this thread and open the one he wished to see.
+
+ --------------- UX comment ------------
+
+ The desired behaviour is:
+ 1. user taps on notification
+ 2. enter PIN/PASSWORD on corresponding screen
+ 3. messaging app should open, presenting user with the correct message thread
** Also affects: messaging-app (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
** Changed in: ubuntu-ux
Status: Triaged => Fix Committed
