[Bug 1361434] Re: [Inspiron 1420, SigmaTel STAC9228, Speaker, Internal] No sound at all

 

does notebook support 5.1 ext speakers since there are three jacks at
same location (ext front) and stac9228 is a 8 channels codec ?

do  headphone Jacks node 0x0a and 0x0f support surround 4.0 ?
 
do the driver assign correct name front/surround to the headphone jacks ?

  Just upgraded to 14.04 on an Inspiron 1420.  My sound no longer works,
  using either RhythmBox or Firefox (YouTube, for example).
