Title:
There should be levels on the screen to see whether one holds the
camera level
Status in camera-app:
Confirmed
Status in camera-app package in Ubuntu:
Confirmed
Bug description:
Many digital cmeras, especially Ricoh and recent Panasonic ansd
Olympus, show levels on their screen to make it easier to hold the
camera level, which is very important for landscape and architecture
shots.
Olympus and Ricoh have one horizontal level at the bottom to make
horizontal lines in the picture beine level and one vertical level on
the right side of the screen to make the optical axis level and so
vertical lines being vertical, especially with a wide angle lens.
Panasonic cameras have something like an artificial horizon in the
middle of the picture.
This would also be a great feature for Ubuntu's camera app, to not
come home with the Leaning Tower of Paris.
