It still happened to me today after updating to OTA-8 yesterday on Meizu
MX4. I can confirm it started after OTA-6 came out. I seems to mostly
(always?) happen when sms messages come in.

  System freezes daily

Bug description:
  After the update to OTA-6 my phone freezes very frequently, almost every day once. 
  I just tried to go through all the steps and it appeared again.
  1. Send a message to myself
  2. lock the screen after the message was sent
  3. screen comes on and displays the message notification correctly
  4. I try to unlock the screen, but not left nor right swipe works, pulling down the indicators does neighter. Pressing any of the hardware buttons has no effect. I wait but the screen doesn't get locked after the specified time. When charging the battery icons changes, but still no input is recognized.

  Only possibility is to force reboot with holding all three hardware
  buttons for 15 seconds.

  I had this freeze also in other situations, and it doesn't appear on
  every incoming message - luckily!

  Hardware: Aquarius E4.5
